Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in TV and film is well known for movies such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her professional career in the show business from a young age. By the time she reached the age of 16years old, Alexandra was able to land the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. She was praised for her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra worked on several significant international and national productions over the years. A few of them include the British biographical movie Control, the Greek drama film The Dust of Time, and French historic miniseries Napoleon. The actress also served on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
